The Hat says...

As the hat gives us topics, we post photos.  This weeks topic is EYE.  Don't forget to come back later this week to take a look at EYE.

Large and in charge

When I got a text from Adam this week he told me he was confused because it was my topic and it was "RING".  Was I expecting something when I wrote it??  Mind you this was a while ago, so I really don't know what I was thinking, but it was something to photograph!  So I decided that I had already photographed my beautiful ring, so why not photograph my big rings!  Now, I know this is a plural "RING", but I think this turned out fun.  The fun of this blog is that I would not be photographing near as much as I am right now.  It forces me/us to think outside the box and compose a unique photo.  Sometimes they are easy and sometimes they require thought and prep.  As much as I sometimes feel no motivation to do it, I am glad that Adam and I are doing this.  Seriously, when would I have thought to just photograph a ring!?  :)

No Coasters here

When I pulled RING from the hat I was stunned.  I thought we just featured a RING on our blog.  Then I thought I won't see Erica before sundown Saturday so I can't take a picture of the beautiful ring on her finger.  A RING, I don't own one, what else can I photograph?  I walked to the fridge, grabbed a cold one, and found a good place on the couch to sit.  As I sat there, thinking- it came to me. It was right on the table infront of me.  Almost a perfect RING, right there on the table.  Jumped up, grabbed the camera and captured the RING left behind.

Late to the game....

Just got back to the real world, spent the last few days with the Flier group camping. I was gonna pull a topic from the hat, but like my beach towel, I forgot.  But don't fret blog followers come sundown on Saturday this weeks topic will be uploaded.  And the topic is.....RING.  It was an Erica topic.

Walking Alone

I'm in agreement with Adam that this was a rather difficult task this week.  You would think that it would be a very easy task, but to come up with that "right" photo, and be in the "right" situation and the "right" time.  I had a pretty cool idea, but I wasn't able to make it work.  So, tonight when I went to Lowell to bring my ring in to be sized there were people walking around.  So I saw these two cute little old ladies with an umbrella and a rain bonnet walking with their grocery bags down the road.  I ran in my heals to try and get a good photo, and I got a decent one, but it had 2 people in it, so really it wasn't a "person" photo.  So I hung out for a little bit, and this lady walked by and I thought, there is my "person" shot.  It's nothing exciting, and all she is doing is walking, but I like the composition of it and the blur you get in the background.  Until next week loyal fans :)

#9

The whole You Me and 52 Weeks thing is a difficult thing to under take.  Every week the hat gives you a topic, every week.  When the topic comes out, my mind starts up; ideas start to pop in, I start to see photo ideas.  This week, not so much.  Nothing came.  I mean the topic was A PERSON, how hard could that be?  It was hard, I see people all the time, I could have easily taken a photo of anyone, doing anything, but nothing came, my mind didn't churn anything up.  So I ended up grabbing my gear and hitting the road on my bike.  I was gonna enjoy the beautiful night and find people.  I ended up at the ball field and found people.  This blog was to push us as photographer, and it did this week. Once at the ball field I wanted to take a photo that captured the essence of the pitcher and I think I did with this one.  It is a person and an athlete.

It was an Adam Topic

It was an Adam Topic that the hat gave us this week.  It should be a fun topic and should lend some interesting photos.  A PERSON.
